Kit Reviews

Don't actually think that I have actually reviewed anything officially before! Here is a list of all my kit:

Drysuit
Having had various cags and dry trouser combinations in the past I decided it was time (more it was the time of year that decided) to get a drysuit.

Not like me to do things by halves and having recently received my student loan for the term I promptly bought a Kokatat drysuit.

I have worn it almost every time I've been paddling in the last 18 months or so. Its been flawless, I have ran shuttles in the rain and still ended up dry on the inside due to the gore-tex material. The zip on the front means I can get in and out of it myself without removing a shoulder. Which a lot of drysuits don't have or have a rear zip.
Just replaced the seals to keep them sweet as they were getting a bit tired.

Helmet
If you kayak, then there really isn't any better standard of protection and coolness than Sweet Protection. You only get one head, and so its worth looking after it.

I use a Strutter for playboating, and sunny days as the peak really helps with the brightness and reducing the sun on my face.

My Wanderer I use for everything else, I painted when I first got it and so now its pretty different and the paint has lasted really well. For the Money I would say go for a wanderer over a rocker, unless you are paddling the gnar every time!

Paddles
194cm Werner Sherpa Cranks these have been brilliant and like most of my kit, has had a long and hard life paddling!

They now measure up at sub 189cm and compared to a new set they are pretty worn, but hey they have done me well and have styled many drops sometimes un-manned! I dare say that they will last a lot longer too.
Although I have just ordered myself a set of Mitchell Blades, and they are going to be shiny and well powered and carbon and lots of ooooohh.
